The Management and Staff are delighted that you are considering holding your special occasion at “The Grand Saffron”. To ensure that your event is run at the highest standard, please read the following Terms and Conditions. TEMPORARY BOOKING Tentative bookings may be made for 48 hours, and unless you inform us otherwise, the booking will automatically cancel after that time. If another enquiry is received for the same date, we would require your immediate deposit within 4 hours. CONFIRMING YOUR BOOKING Absolute confirmation occurs on receipt of a $500.00 deposit and emailed acknowledgment of terms and conditions. $1000 deposit need to be 4 weeks before function. ALCOHOL POLICY The Grand Saffron do not allow bottles of whiskey to be placed on tables. This is not allowed by VCGLR (Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation) at any time during the function. If any fines or penalties are issued due to this, they will be passed on to the host. CONFIRMING MENU At least 2 weeks prior to your function we request you to send us your menu selection for your function. We should have confirmation of final arrangements and be well advanced towards all details. Probably we might have to suggest alternative if we don’t receive menu two weeks before the event. FINAL NUMBERS We need to have a guarantee of the minimum number of guests two weeks before the function (in writing, email preferred) OR you will be charged for minimum number even if less people arrive on the day. You may increase numbers right up to the day of the event. Please advice of any special requirements. Numbers must be confirmed in writing prior to the function date. PAYMENT The full amount for the function must be paid before commencement of the event. Any balance will have to-be settled at the close of the function. Credit card payment will occur 1.8% surcharge. DISK JOCKEY (DJ) SAFFRON has a DJ who plays music at all out functions and complies with all the rules and regulation of SAFFRON We do not allow outside DJ. Amplified Music and Noise SAFFRON operates in compliance with EPA and Victorian government policies and recommendations. Any additional sound equipment brought into the venue must be approved by the Venue Operations Officer prior to your event. Hall Keepers have acoustic monitoring equipment and sound systems must be turned down at their request. Non-compliance with Hall Keeper directives will be considered a breach of the Terms and Conditions and may result in the early termination of your event..
